With the hands of an experienced magician, darkroom assistant Ramesh Nair was constantly adding quality to images shot by news photographers and cleaning up their images. Thanks to their mistakes Ramesh quickly learnt the tricks of the trade and thus was born a news photographer who quickly rose to the ranks of the professionals. Ramesh now heads the quality control core team of SOLARIS IMAGES bringing with him 20 years of rich experience after having worked with Eve's Weekly, Indian Express and DNA where he was the Chief Photographer.
An expert at profiles of top businessmen, Ramesh also specializes in sports, features and off-beat images. A general surveyor by profession that was most unbearing, led Srinivas to follow his childhood passion for photography. Rejections came in plenty and then came the break that he longed for, that of a Trainee Photographer at the Indian Express. His images spoke their way along the years with the company promoting him to head of department. Srinivas has brought his rich 22 years experience to SOLARIS IMAGES where he plans to enlighten budding photographers in the finer points of photography.
Srinivas likes to be known best for his documentary work on malnutrition cases, farmer suicides, tribal marriages, and feature on eunuchs. A specialist of the Kumbh mela, he has also covered the 1991/92 Mumbai riots and the 1993 serial bomb blasts.
